Back for its second year, Centre Court Sounds returns to Manuka Doctor Arena on February 21, 2026, unveiling a brand-new arena setup. Moving away from the 360° stage, the stage will now sit at one end of centre court, unlocking the venue’s iconic corporate areas and transforming them into premium VIP Booths, alongside General Admission on the arena court.

The R&A and the Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation (APGC) have announced that the eighth edition of the Women’s Amateur Asia-Pacific (WAAP) championship will be held at Royal Wellington in New Zealand from 12–15 February 2026.

This will be the first time New Zealand has hosted the championship, which aims to inspire future generations of women golfers and has evolved into the pre-eminent women’s amateur championship in the Asia-Pacific region.

Each year, WAAP provides the champion with life-changing opportunities through exemptions into three women’s major championships and several elite global amateur events — opening doors to the highest levels of the sport.

Ryan Fox returned to his home course in 2025 to host the fourth edition of Chasing the Fox, with a fresh new twist. For the first time, Fox wasn’t taking on the field alone - he was joined by fellow tour mate and close friend Daniel Hillier to face off against a star-studded lineup of teams spanning New Zealand’s top sporting codes, media personalities and more.

Framed as NZ’s best versus the best of the rest, the competition was about more than bragging rights, with each team playing for prize money to be donated to their chosen charity. In a fitting result, Fox and Hillier claimed victory, marking Foxy’s first-ever win at his own event. The pair secured $15,000 for their chosen charity, Big Buddy.

The giving didn’t stop there. Event sponsor Mānuka Phuel announced post-event donations of $15,000 to each of the other 11 team charities, along with a further $150,000 contribution to Starship, reinforcing Chasing the Fox’s commitment to making a meaningful impact beyond the fairways.

On January 25, 2025, the ASB Tennis Arena in Auckland transformed into a vibrant music venue for Centre Court Sounds, an innovative live music event that seamlessly blended the thrill of tennis with the energy of a live concert. Headlined by the acclaimed New Zealand band LEISURE, the event featured a 360° stage setup, offering an immersive experience for attendees. Supporting acts included the indie-pop group Daily J, the electronic duo SACHI (DJ set), and Bontempo, each contributing to the eclectic lineup.

The event was part of Auckland's Anniversary Weekend celebrations with its innovative concept and diverse lineup, Centre Court Sounds 2025 marked a significant milestone in Auckland's live music scene, offering an unforgettable experience that resonated with both music enthusiasts and sports fans alike.

On December 13, 2024, the TAB Chasing the Fox event at Royal Auckland and Grange Golf Club achieved new milestones, featuring a star-studded lineup and a record-breaking live broadcast on TVNZ. This year's event attracted over 2,000 attendees, surpassing previous attendance records, and garnered significant viewership both in New Zealand and internationally. The six-hole, Ambrose-style tournament showcased New Zealand's top golfers, including Ryan Fox, Dan Hillier, and international golf creators Taco Golf and Mac Bouche. Celebrity teams from rugby, cricket, the NZ Warriors, and media personalities added to the excitement, culminating in a high-energy finale at New Zealand’s first-ever "party hole" .

The event was broadcast live on TVNZ 1 and TVNZ+. The Alternative Commentary Collective (The ACC) added their unique flair to the broadcast, enhancing the entertainment value for viewers. The partnership with TVNZ marked a significant step in bringing golf to a broader audience, aligning with the growing popularity of the sport in New Zealand .

Proceeds from the event supported the Big Buddy charity, emphasizing the tournament's commitment to community engagement and youth mentorship. On December 14, 2023, the Royal Auckland and Grange Golf Club hosted the second edition of Chasing the Fox, a dynamic six-hole charity golf event headlined by New Zealand's top-ranked golfer, Ryan Fox. The tournament featured celebrity teams from rugby, cricket, politics, and media, including All Black Shaun Johnson, Warriors' Wayde Egan, and former Prime Minister Sir John Key, all vying to outscore Fox in an Ambrose-style format. The event also showcased a special appearance by 12-year-old Bayleigh Teepa-Tarau, who caddied for Fox, highlighting the tournament's commitment to youth engagement and inclusivity.

Notably, the NZ Warriors team emerged victorious, adding to the excitement and competitive spirit of the day.

On December 9, 2022, the Royal Auckland and Grange Golf Club hosted the inaugural Chasing the Fox Super Six charity golf event, headlined by world No. 29 golfer Ryan Fox. The event featured six celebrity teams comprising New Zealand's top athletes, including various All Blacks, Black Caps Ross Taylor and Mitch Santner, and Olympians Eric Murray and Tom Abercrombie, among others.

The highlight of the day was former Prime Minister Sir John Key's first-ever hole-in-one. Using a fairway wood on the par-three eighth hole, Key's shot landed on the green and rolled into the hole, prompting jubilant celebrations. He was mobbed with hugs, high-fives, and chants of "Three more years!" from fellow players, including All Black Will Jordan and his son Max Key.

On May 20, 2022, the Auckland War Memorial Museum hosted the inaugural Fight at the Museum presented by Culture Kings. The event featured a main event between Jerome "The Panther" Pampellone and Nik "The Greek" Charalampous. Pampellone, moving up to the cruiserweight division, secured a unanimous decision victory over six rounds, maintaining his unbeaten record and demonstrating his adaptability across weight classes.

The evening combined high-calibre boxing with a vibrant atmosphere, including a stacked undercard featuring top New Zealand boxing talent, celebrity matchups, and premium entertainment. Attendees enjoyed live boxing and entertainment within the iconic dome of the Auckland Museum.
